Remediation of existing part industrial / part golf driving range on unlicenced landfill site to facilitate construction of a low rise housing comprising demolition of industrial and leisure buildings and associated services bulk excavation, processing and deposition of made ground, importation and compaction of acceptable material, installation of temporary surface water drainage. Due to the low lying location of the site (7m AOD) a flood risk assessment was prepared to satisfy the Environment Agency relating to flood risk from adjacent River Mersey in order to set projected finished levels for the works. Preparation of drawings, specifications and bill of quantities and contract documentation for the works followed by contract administration and day to day supervision of works on site. Obtained planning permission for the site remediation works. Expert witness report for Client on drainage for legal challenge from adjacent watercourse landowner. Negotiation of abnormal brownfield site abnormal costs with land purchaser on behalf of Client. Carried out extensive geo-environmental ground Investigation in order to scope extent of the works and assess predicted total settlements caused by upfilling of levels.
