Development of a 160 residential unit scheme on a 6 hectare site in Appleby.  Challenging topographical and geotechnical conditions resulted in a lime modified earthworks solution incorporating an earthworks cut / fill balance. Post development surface water drainage routes / levels were designed in precise detail to accommodate protected tree species and maintain the amenity value of the site. Road widths / junction details were optimised using an extensive series of vehicle tracking exercises.
